Brass at the pressure joint

Adapters live at the highest-pressure point of the system and get tightened repeatedly. Plastic ones creep and eventually weep; brass tolerates it. At this price there is no argument for plastic.

The insert trap

M22 comes in 14 mm and 15 mm insert sizes, indistinguishable at a glance and not sealed against each other. A leaking joint that is already tight is almost always this. Check the insert dimension in the specification before assuming the adapter is faulty.

Verified on Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Spain. Not sold on Amazon’s US store.
