The bottom line The right pump in a sensible body. As with every K 5, budget for a surface cleaner at the same time.
The K 5 Classic Car & Home carries the full K 5 pump — 145 bar and 500 l/h, with a stated 40 m²/h — in the Classic body, with a water filter and an aluminium telescopic handle.
The pump is the point
Five hundred litres an hour is the reason to buy a K 5 rather than a K 4. Fifteen bar is nothing; eighty litres an hour is time, on every square metre of every session.
The two small things
A water filter on the inlet, which is the part people ignore until the machine loses pressure and is then almost always the answer. And an aluminium telescopic handle, which decides whether the machine follows you or gets dragged — and dragging is what splits hoses at the gun.
The accessory this bundle does not include
A surface cleaner. The 40 m²/h figure quietly assumes one. Cleaning a terrace with the lance instead is slower, striped, and throws water up the wall behind you.

Questions people actually ask
What does 500 l/h buy over the K 4’s 420?
About a fifth off the time on any surface large enough to measure in tens of square metres, every time you use it. On a car or a set of garden chairs neither machine is the limiting factor — your patience with the lance is. Flow is what carries away what the pressure has loosened.
Why does the 40 m²/h figure need a surface cleaner?
Because that is how it is measured. A hand-held lance cleans a narrow, striped path at whatever distance your arm happens to be at; a surface cleaner holds the jets at a constant height and covers a wide band evenly. Buying a K 5 without a surface head and then cleaning a terrace with the lance is the most common way to be disappointed by a capable machine.
