The K 3 FJ Home is the machine most people meet first, and it is sold on the wrong number. 120 bar is the headline; what actually decides how quickly a terrace comes clean is the volume of water the pump moves, and Kärcher does not publish a flow figure for this model at all. That absence is worth stating plainly rather than filling with an estimate.
This version is the Home bundle, which means the T 1 surface cleaner is included. A surface cleaner is a housing with a spinning jet inside it: it covers a wider path, keeps the water off the wall behind you, and — most importantly — removes the striping that a hand-held lance leaves when your arm speed varies. Bought separately, that head costs a meaningful fraction of the machine.
The Foam Jet nozzle in the name is the second half of the bundle. It turns detergent into foam that clings, which is what makes low-pressure cleaning work on render, plastic garden furniture and paintwork. Both accessories point at the same conclusion: on this machine, the accessories do more of the work than the pump.
Where 120 bar runs out
The dividing line is not the material, it is how long the dirt has been there. Annual maintenance washing — garden furniture, a bike, a car, a terrace done every spring — sits comfortably inside what this machine does. Black-spot lichen on old paving, or render that has gone green over several winters, is a different job: the answer there is dwell time with a patio treatment rather than more pressure, but a machine with more flow shortens it considerably.
Fittings, if you plan to add anything
Kärcher’s Click&Clean bayonet is proprietary. Lances, brushes and surface cleaners sold for Nilfisk’s Click&Clean or for the M22 thread used by trade machines will not fit without an adapter, and every adapter is a joint that can leak. If you expect to buy accessories later, that decision is being made now, at purchase, and it is worth reading the adapters page before choosing the machine.

One Amazon reference covers Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Spain, which is unusual and useful: the same model, the same spare parts, the same accessories, whichever store you buy from. It is not listed on Amazon’s US store.
