Under €150 you can buy an excellent machine in three of our families and a frustrating one in the rest. Here is which is which.
Some categories reward a small budget and some punish it.
Pressure washers. A 125 bar machine with a decent nozzle cleans a domestic terrace perfectly well; what you give up is hose length, a flow figure and a pressure dial.
Ash vacuums. The mechanism is a steel drum and a filter. The €58 Einhell publishes its suction, has an aluminium tube and a blower function, and does exactly what a machine costing three times more does.
Steam mops. Fifteen seconds to steam, a tank, a pad. The Vileda does it for the price of a mop and bucket.
Robots and floor washers. Both depend on features that cost money — mop washing and drying, real suction, dock automation. The €120 robot on this site is honest about being a long-running sweeper with a damp pad; it is not a cheap version of a flagship.

Robot vacuum mops and floor washers. Under €150 a robot has a fraction of the suction and no mop washing, and a floor washer has no hot roller cycle — which is the specification that stops it smelling. Both are categories where the cheap version teaches you why the expensive one exists.
Pressure washers, ash vacuums, steam mops and small wet and dry vacuums. In those families the mechanism is simple enough that the budget version does the same job as the expensive one, more slowly or with fewer conveniences.
